Top 10 tools for managing online ads in 2026
Published: · 6 min read

If you run your own ads or handle a few clients, you can choose between the platforms' official interfaces, desktop editors and independent tools that add automation, recommendations or combined reports. Each solves a different problem, and the right choice depends on which networks you use and how much time you want to spend in them.
Below are 10 well-known tools described against the same criteria. This isn't a ranking and we don't give scores: for each tool we only state what can be checked in the maker's public information at the time of publication.
Transparency and method
Transparency: adscontrol.ai is our product, and this guide is published on its website. PostingClips and e-web.ro, mentioned in other guides, belong to the same team. The other tools listed have no connection with us, and we received nothing for including them.
The list is in alphabetical order, not a ranking, which is why adscontrol.ai comes first. Information on third-party tools comes from their public pages and official documentation, checked on 15 October 2026. Features and prices change often, so always check the maker's website before deciding.
We haven't made up any prices: where a tool has paid plans, we write “pricing on website”. The official platforms (Google, Meta, Microsoft) don't charge for their tools; you only pay for the ads.
Comparison criteria
- Ad networks covered: which platforms you can manage from the same tool.
- Type of tool: official (from the ad platform) or independent.
- Way of working: web interface, desktop editor, automated rules, recommendations or chat.
- Access: free, free plan, or paid plans with pricing on the website.
- Change control: whether changes apply automatically or after your approval.
We didn't compare results, because they depend on the account, the industry and how the tool is used, not just on the tool.

1. adscontrol.ai
adscontrol.ai is the AI assistant we build. Instead of menus and tables, you tell it in a chat what you want: a new campaign, an analysis, where you're wasting money, keyword ideas, budget changes. Accounts are connected through each platform's official authorisation page.
- Networks: Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Pinterest.
- Control: every change first appears as a card with Confirm / Edit / Cancel; new campaigns are created paused; the daily budget limit you set can't be exceeded.
- Language: interface in English and Romanian.
- Access: free trial, then monthly plans; see the pricing page.
Why it's included, on the criteria above: it covers several networks from one place and works through conversation, with your approval for every change. It doesn't fully replace the official interfaces for very advanced settings.
2. AdEspresso
AdEspresso, owned by Hootsuite, is known for creating and A/B testing ads on Facebook and Instagram. It suits people who work mainly on Meta's networks and want to test many ad variations. Check the maker's website for the current list of networks and plans.
3. Adzooma
According to its website, Adzooma offers a shared interface for Google Ads, Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads, with performance audits and improvement suggestions. The maker mentions a free plan alongside paid plans. It suits people who want an overview across those three networks.
4. Bïrch (formerly Revealbot)
Bïrch, previously known as Revealbot, is a rules-based ad automation platform: for example, pausing an ad or adjusting budget when certain conditions are met. The maker mentions Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat. It suits teams that want automation they define themselves.
5. Google Ads Editor
Google Ads Editor is Google's free desktop app for Windows and macOS. You download your account, make bulk changes offline (keywords, ads, budgets) and then publish them in one go. It's useful for large accounts or repetitive changes, but works only with Google Ads. Details in the Google Ads Help Center.
6. Madgicx
Madgicx is mainly focused on Meta ads, with automation, creative analytics and ad creation tools. According to the maker, it also offers reporting that combines data from several sources, including Google Ads and TikTok. It suits online shops that invest heavily in Meta.
7. Meta Ads Manager
Meta Ads Manager is Meta's official, free interface for ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network. It gives access to every setting, objective and format, on the web and in the mobile app. Read more in our complete Meta Ads guide and the Meta Business Help Center.
8. Microsoft Advertising Editor
Microsoft Advertising Editor is Microsoft's free desktop app for Windows and Mac, for managing Microsoft Advertising campaigns (formerly Bing Ads). It supports offline bulk editing and, according to the official documentation, importing an existing Google Ads account. It's useful if you want to extend search campaigns to Microsoft's network.
9. Opteo

10. Optmyzr

How to choose the right tool
- You use one network and have time: the official interface (Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads), perhaps with the desktop editor for bulk changes.
- You work heavily in Google Ads: recommendation and optimisation tools focused on search.
- You want rule-based automation: automated-rules platforms where you define the conditions.
- You run several networks and want to work through conversation, approving every change: an assistant like adscontrol.ai.
Whatever the tool, the fundamentals stay the same: accurate conversion tracking, a clear campaign structure and a regular review routine. They're explained in our complete Google Ads guide and our guide to ad campaign structure.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an external tool to manage my ads?
No. Official interfaces such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager are free and have every setting. External tools save time, add automation or bring several networks into one place.
Why is adscontrol.ai first on the list?
Because the order is alphabetical. The list isn't a ranking, and adscontrol.ai is our product, as stated in the transparency note at the start of this guide.
Can external tools make changes without my consent?
It depends on the tool and how you configure it. Some apply rules or recommendations automatically, others ask for approval. In adscontrol.ai every change happens only after you confirm it.
Is the information about third-party tools accurate?
We took it from the makers' public information, checked on 15 October 2026. Features and prices change, so check each maker's website before choosing.
